The Practice: The Regret Inventory

Write down five decisions you regret. For each one, ask: what would I have done differently if I had known who I actually was at that time? The answer reveals how much of your regret stems from acting against your own nature.

This is not an exercise in self-flagellation. It is an exercise in pattern recognition. The cost of not knowing is paid in the currency of misdirected action. Seeing the pattern is the first step to stopping the bleed.

The Deeper Truth: Not Knowing is Also a Kind of Knowing
