Every decision you make is a three-part equation. Whether you calculate it or not.
Most people solve for one variable. Profit, Love, Tax — the calculation was always running. Now you see it.
The Three Variables
Profit Profit is what you gain. In every form — not just currency. Time, energy, meaning, leverage, position, control of the frame. Every move moves three scores simultaneously, and Profit is the most visible variable.
But Profit without Love and Tax analysis is incomplete data. Decisions made on incomplete data compound in the wrong direction.
Love Love is the relationship account. Trust, credibility, loyalty. It takes months to build and seconds to burn. Love is the reason clients take your call on Sunday and accept your advice on Thursday.
Love in a career decision is not sentiment — it is structural. Does this move build the identity you are constructing? Does it generate trust and loyalty that compounds?
Tax Tax is what the conversation costs. Not in dollars — in risk, obligation, and exposure. The debt created by what was said, coming due whether you intended it or not.
If it feels free, you missed the Tax. Free is the most expensive word in the decision vocabulary. What you don't pay now, you fund later.
Why One-Variable Thinking Always Loses
In a three-variable world, solving for one variable is not simplification — it is incomplete analysis.
Short-term Profit on a long-term decision is not math. It is hope.
The person who can see all three sides will always outperform the person who can see only one. This is not philosophy. It is structural fact.
